Grants totaling $40,000 to be awarded
August 14, 2023 – MultiPlan Corporation (NYSE:MPLN), a provider of healthcare cost management solutions, is accepting applications for its Rural Health Grant now through October 6, 2023 from rural healthcare providers in the U.S. The grants, totaling $40,000, provide financial resources to introduce or expand services, education, screenings and other programs aimed at improving the health of people in their communities.
The grant is available to hospitals, rural health clinics and federally qualified health centers participating in MultiPlan’s healthcare provider networks. These networks include PHCS, PHCS Medicaid, MultiPlan, MultiPlan Medicare Advantage, Beech Street, HealthEOS, Texas True Choice, IHP, HMN and RAN. Eligible providers will receive a notification by mail or email. In addition, an application for the grant is available on MultiPlan’s website at https://www.multiplan.us/philanthropic-programs/multiplans-rural-health-grant/.
The total grant money will be divided among one or more providers. During the review of the grant applications, the MultiPlan grant committee will determine the award amounts and number of recipients. MultiPlan will announce the grant recipients in late October.
MultiPlan introduced the program in 1995 and has helped fund health services supporting a variety of initiatives, including the implementation of “food pharmacies” to address nutritional needs and telemedicine resources for underserved areas.
